Dana is a dual-purpose variety, both bitter and aromatic, bred from the German variety Hallertauer Magnum and Slovenian heritage. It was refined at the Institute for Hop Research and Brewing of Slovenia. The variety is known for its good agronomic properties for hop production and harvesting. Beer brewed with Dana has good brewing value, given by its pleasant and intense aroma and harmonious bitterness.
